Chairman named for Speaking of Women’s Health Conference

Katie Fitzpatrick has been named chairman of the local steering committee for the 2006 Speaking of Women’s Health Conference.

As chairman, Fitzpatrick will serve as the leader and voice for the steering committee. She will play a key role in selecting an honoree and the recipient of the Community Investment Grant for this year’s conference.

Fitpatrick is president of Caden Group, a consulting firm that focuses on business strategies and consulting. A South Florida native, she believes in serving the community and contributing as a mentor to inspire the next generation.

Fitpatrick serves on various committees with the South Florida Healthcare Hospital Association and is past-president for the Society of Marketing Professional Services. She has recently served on the cabinet for the United Way Broward, Junior Achievement’s Teacher Volunteer Program, Broward Community College’s Fundraising Committee as well as served on the board of directors for both Medivan, a charitable group that covers the uninsured residents and Smart School, a charter school in Lauderhill.

Speaking of Women’s Health is a unique educational conference to educate women on making informed decisions about their health and well-being.

“Due to the overwhelming success of this annual conference, Channel 2 will also be hosting the first annual ‘Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer’, which will be presented in Spanish.”
